Zinc is among the most important of the trace elements in human nutrition, being vital for immune-system performance and signalling pathways vital for gene expression.

Zinc is essential to numerous chemical reactions in the body, including protein synthesis and cellular energy. Its immune-system values begin with its ability to regulate the production of T cells. Zinc is also required for tissue formation and for cell-membrane stability.

Adding zinc supplements to your diet may therefore lead to more efficient recovery from skin ailments. The body also requires extra nutrients such as zinc to help burned skin and reinforce the immune response.

Zinc plays an important role in maintaining healthy cells. Not only is zinc essential in regulating the activities of 300 enzymes, but 1400 zinc-finger proteins are also involved in gene expression of various proteins.

The thymus gland is crucial in maintaining a healthy immune system; unfortunately, it’s susceptible to age-related shrinking, which can be addressed with zinc supplementation.

New Roots Herbal’s Ultra Zinc formula can definitely play a role for zinc deficiency or for healthy aging in general.
