Directions:
Recommended adult dose: 3 capsules daily with food, a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products, or as directed by a health care practitioner. For prolonged use, consult a health care practitioner. Not to be taken immediately before bedtime.
Cautions:
Keep out of the reach of children. There is enough iron in this package to seriously harm a child. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use in the following cases: if you have a peptic ulcer, excess stomach acid, gall bladder disease, intestinal obstruction, gastrointestinal lesion, gallstones, kidney disorder or a history of kidney stones, a seizure disorder, liver disorder, an iron deficiency, have been diagnosed with estrogen-dependent cancer, have any type of acute infection, are undergoing hormone replacement therapy (HRT), have allergy to latex or fruits (such as avocado, banana, chestnut, passion fruit, fig, melon, mango, kiwi, pineapple, peach, and tomato), are having surgery or taking anti-inflammatory medications, antibiotics, antidepressants, or medications for diabetes, seizures or birth control. Consult a health care practitioner if you have or develop abdominal pain or fever. Stop use and consult a health care practitioner if you develop symptoms of liver trouble such as yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), stomach pain, dark urine, sweating, nausea, unusual tiredness and/or loss of appetite. Rare, unpredictable cases of liver injury associated with products containing green tea extract have been reported (in Canada and internationally). Do not use in the following cases: if you are taking health products that affect blood coagulation (e.g., blood thinners, clotting factor replacements, acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen, fish oils, vitamin E) as this may increase the risk of spontaneous bleeding, if you have high blood pressure, a history of systemic lupus erythematosus, a bile duct obstruction, a bipolar disorder or bipolar spectrum disorder, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family. If you experience irritability or insomnia, discontinue use. Hypersensitivity/allergy can occur and has been known to occur due to açai or plants of the Arecaceae family, in which case discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea have been known to occur and laxative effect may occur, in which case discontinue use.
